The pile of crap cleared out of our house. Spans the front of the house and is almost six feet tall at its highest point. Framework, drywall, insulation, doors, our christmas tree... etc.

One of the very few segments of ceiling which "survived" the explosion. Besides this and one or two other small spots, all of the drywall on the ceilings was blown clean off, exposing the attic.

Upstairs. All of the ceilings upstairs were all blown down by a buildup of gas and heat in the attics which exploded.

More fire just inside the front door. Again, if it had burned much longer, the fire would have gotten much farther inside the house, and this would be a whole different story.

The laundry room. Note the key box in the foreground - this is the interior side of the house, which means the fire had reached the laundry room door and could have made it inside if it went any longer. The door was closed, and you can see char marks around the edges where the fire crept in.

A vew of the van (and a fellow's bottom) out the front door. Note the shattered glass all along the ground. For some reason, of all the destruction that fire causes, the way it shatters glass is the most disturbing to me. Burnt-out windows make me shudder.

My dad filming the house, with my aunt in th foreground. On the stairs at the left you can see a lot of the insulation and drywall and stuff they've started to clear from upstairs (this is only a fraction of it).

A view in the garage side window. You can see our stack of firewood right there. It's charred on the outside, but actually, it didn't burn.

A view inside the garage. The structure's come completely down; that's a combination of the garage door frame and workings and the roof/attic structure.
