Thank goodness I sold it when gas was only $2 a gallon. This thing averaged 13mpg.

Despite the car's weight, this mod really helped it move reasonably fast.

Rear anti-roll bar not fitted in this photo. Front fitted with Aadco 7/8". MGBs were originally supplied with a 9/16 or 5/8 front bar. Later cars (late rubber bumper) had a 9/16 rear bar and possibly no front bar. The heavier front bar transforms the car, but I believe tire pressures and compounds would become much more influential with the addition of a rear bar. Since this session I have added an Aadco 3/4 rear bar and on street tires it does have less body roll and a pronounced tendency to oversteer - as one would expect. I am unsure if this combination would yield 1g on the skidpad.
