Launching area for the lake shows just how low the water has become - all part of the drought that has hit Australia over the last 9 or so years! Note the burnt trees on the other side of the channel!

Lake Fyans, like most bodies of water in the district, is very low. This is the sign at the launching ramp for the lake.

In the meantime these paddocks have had surviving stock sent away for agistment. The dead and injured stock are euthanased and buried, a heart-breaking task.

Wrecked fencing piled up at an intersection along the Illawara Deep Lead road, placed there by a farmer\'s co-op who help local farmers re-establish their properties, providing labour, materials and expertise at times of disaster like these.

Pathetic, vandalized sign at old disused \"beach\" area at totally dry Lake Lonsdale, NE of Hall\'s Gap. The fires came up to just short of here. The map still shows a launching ramp here.
