1st frame for the grass roof was too shallow of an angle...the 2nd one was put right ontop, though even then, we still had a few problems in the rainy season.

I designed the stairs to wrap from both the front and back doors. Since I wanted airflow, the crossbeam is angled back 1m. It was cool downstairs during the day, but trapped heat at night.

New foundation was poured and the basement walls were reenforced with steel/cement. We had a few setbacks over the months including rain, collapsed walls, and material shortages.

It took 2 guys 4 full days to dig out the main basement portion. Since it was started in May, temps were in the 100s and the ground was almost like rock. Last 50cm was powdery.
