The hummers are heading back south now and have been keeping me busy with keeping the feeders filled. I have 4-28oz feeders and have to refil them twice a day now. But I don't mind and will miss them when they are gone for the winter.

Bryant was born perfectly healthy but about 8 hours after his birth we, Sharon and I, were told he had caught a strep or staph infection, I forget which, and had been moved to the neo-natal intensive care unit. We were also told he had been started on IV antibiotics and that the next 24 hours were critical as to whether he would survive or not. Needless to say we were devastated. Fortunately we were allowed into the NNICU to see and be with him

I think this pic was made not long before Bryant was born, maybe in late May or early June, 1982. Seems I remember Sharon was getting ready for a baby shower. I worked in a coal mine at that time and wore overalls a lot of the time, at work and at home.
